I'm from the UK and hate it here <3
Sort-of writer and artist, I don't have time and energy very often.
As the sidebar indicates, English is my first language, and I'm trying to learn Russian. Currently sub-A1 level, so not yet conversational, but hopefully that will change one day!
Interests
Music
I tend to get narrowly fixated on only listening to one or two artists at a time. Currently: Arlo Parks, Ploho.
80s/90s post-punk: Bauhaus, Cocteau Twins, The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, Pixies, Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Darkwave: Bitcevsky Park, Чёрная Речка, Электрофорез, Молчат Дома, Ploho.
Mikugaze: Nerdneko, Robounoishi, Wintermute.
Rock, pop, everything else: Arlo Parks, Boygenius, Car Seat Headrest, Gym Class Heroes, Lucy Dacus, Mitski.
Games
Videogames are my special interest! The one/s that I fixate on tend to change every two years or so. I primarily play games on PC and 3DS, and I also have a Switch Lite. Current and former fixations:
Ace Attorney. Biggest fixation since around May 2025. Completed: AA1, AA2, AA3 (on the 3DS rerelease of the trilogy). In progress: AA4.
Hollow Knight. Completed: Hollow Knight. Currently playing: Hollow Knight: Silksong. Not avoiding Silksong spoilers because I know it'll take me ages to finish it and I wanted to indulge the fixation; I'm not a skilled gamer at all despite having over 100 hours in HK. I'm currently making slow progress through a modded playthrough when I have the energy (which isn't very often).
The Legend of Zelda. Completed: OoT(3D), MM(3D), SkSw(HD), BoTW, TotK, EoW. Partially played: LA(HD), MC, TP(HD), WW(HD). My favourite is Majora's Mask. Former fixation and source of a lot of my old writing.
Disco Elysium hasn't been a primary focus of my special interest at any point, but it's currently my top priority when I have the energy to play something new.
